You can also fit a lot of graphics, information, and contact information into one design, so you can properly communicate your message without leaving anything out.

Woolwich Market was granted a charter in 1618, but it is undoubtedly older. The market had traditionally been near the High Street (at a place known as Market Hill), but had gradually moved closer to the Royal Arsenal's main gatehouse, where it is now. This was not authorised by the authorities, so a new market was established in the Bathway Quarter around 1810, but it failed to take off and is only known by the name Market Street. The market at Beresford Square was illegal until 1879, and the police would regularly clear it. Italo Svevo described the market, which had 136 stalls, as "extremely busy" in 1903. A covered market opened in Plumstead Road in 1936, although it was never a serious competitor to the Beresford Square market. The plaza also housed the largest public establishments, which were plentiful throughout Woolwich. Powis Street and Hare Street, which were built in the early 1800s, were the primary shopping streets. Some of the Vicorian shop facades have remained, many of which were created by local architect Henry Hudson Church.
